Configure POP for iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch

E-Mail: Using our SmarterMail Services
Users with Apple iOS devices can configure their iOS device to retrieve messages using either IMAP or POP3.

With POP3, your mail is saved in a mailbox on the remote server until you check your mail.  When you check your mail, all of the mail is downloaded to your device and is no longer  maintained on the server. If you use POP3 and are traveling or check your mail from multiple locations, you will not be able to view any of your old mail because the messages only exist on the device/computer on which you originally received your mail. If you prefer to use IMAP, please refer to these instructions instead.

Follow these steps to create a POP3 connection to SmarterMail on an Apple iOS 4 device like the iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch:
  1. On the iPhone, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  3. Tap Add Account.
  4. Tap Other.
  5. Tap Add Mail Account.
